And what a contribution!! A picture of his mom's all girl's baseball team with Trino himself coaching from 1939!!!!
Mr. Ancira shares his story:
"This was taken in 1939. I brought up your web site and recognized the name Trino. I enjoyed your site and it brought back many memories. My dad use to take me to see the Calif. Cuties, back then Cressey park now Gonzales park. My mother and father are still healthy living in South Gate, Ca. My mother is the pretty lady to Trinos right."

DeleteI did play with a gentle man named Kelly _ just asking my mom to look at the program for a last name - i knew it once - once i get the last name i will reply and see if that was the same Kelly. - ( if he had long blonde hair - ) prolly him
DeleteI went by Hefty Helen,(Shaun Johnson) there was main street Sally, (Bruce somethin??),& our pitcher Fifi, (Ron), Trino, and his nephew, we drove 13,000 miles I have lots of pictures but they're deep storage I'll dig out and get back to someone, I think we went 92-30
DeleteHi Michael, Thank you for the comment! I've changed the settings on this blog to accept all of your comments. I can't find any setting that allows visitors to post pictures. If you know of any way I can do this, please let me know. I'll keep on researching it as soon as I can. There's GOT to be a way.

I watched them in Verdun Quebec great fun and we laughed so much. Too bad those fun days are gone. They were the Harlem Globe Trotters of baseball. Today it's guns and killings. Hope one day another group of guys get together and start another team and bring back fun to our very tumbled world.Eric
